  Canoeing on the Murray Jan 2021

In total 34, Scouts, leaders and Venturers from Cobargo spent 5 days on a Canoeing trip from Khancoban to Jingellic. Temperatures were mild during the days and cool in the evenings. There were 10 Canoes and 2 kayaks, carrying 30 people on the 103km trip down the Murray, supported by a convoy of 4 vehicles and 4 support people

Day 1 Cobargo to Towong

We left Cobargo at about 9am, and travelled through Kosciusko national park to our campsite for the 1st 3 nights at Towong. Along the way we stopped at Geehi for a swim and lunch.



Day 2 Cobargo to Towong

The canoe trip started just down from the Spillway on the Swampy Plain river at Khancoban, stopping for Lunch at Bringenbrong and finished at Towong.



Day 3 Towong to Tintaldra

Canoeing started at our campsite at Towong. stopping for morning tea at  Corryong Creek and finishing at Tintaldra



Day 4 Tintaldra to Jingellic

Day 4 and 5- We packed up our campsite at Towong, and drove back to where we left the canoes at Tintaldra . We canoed to Neils Reserve for lunch , and finished the canoeing adventure at Jingellic Reserve. We did a total of 103km's canoeing on the water. The rest of the day was spent relaxing at Jingellic, before heading back to Cobargo after breakfast on day 5.
