JOTA JOTI Weekend a Success at Cobargo Scout Hall
Over 85 members of the local scouting community gathered at Cobargo Scout Hall for the annual JOTA JOTI (Jamboree On The Air, Jamboree On The Internet) event. The weekend-long gathering provided a unique opportunity for scouts to connect with fellow scouts from around the world through radio communications and online platforms.
Participants were able to engage in exciting tech-style activities, tracking their progress through a passport system. Highlights included Lego Robotics, Lego Ziplining, Electronic Soldering, creating the amazing game "ROCK IT," Walkie Talkie Scavenger Hunts, Electronic Fox Hunting, Move it Carefully, Find Me, and crafting Braille Messages and Morse Code Bracelets.
Participants talked to other Scouting units on almost every continent, learning a new dance from their Indonesian friends and greetings in approximately 12 other languages. The weekend-long event fostered friendships, global camaraderie, and a deep appreciation for the diversity of the scouting community..
