South Coast and Tablelands, Regional Caving weekend at Wee Jasper - 2nd & 3rd July 2016

Venturers, Rovers and leaders converged on the picturesque town of Wee Jasper for 2 days of Caving.

The weekend was run by the SC&T Rovers and Leaders, all of whom had the necessary Caving, Abseiling, First Aid, and Remote Rescue qualifications required to lead these activities. Many of them could be classed as experienced "Adrenaline Junkies", who like to climb mountains, and squeeze through tiny mouse sized cracks in caves well below ground just for fun. Just the right sort of people you need to run these activities.

Dip Series of Caves

The Dip series of caves was were the beginners started, with a  walk in through a cave known as the "Rubbish Tip". There were also a number of vertical holes (Daylight and Gong), from which to abseil into this cave series.

Signature Cave

The Signature Cave is an easy walk in and perfect for those new to Caving with a few levels and many passages and holes to crawl through and explore.
